Don’t miss today’s episode of the Dr. Oz show featuring BrandCycle co-founder, Robert Glazer.

Fake news and ad fraud in the affiliate industry is a hot topic– so hot, in fact, that it’s burning many unsuspecting people, including Shark Tank judge and entrepreneur, Barbara Corcoran.

On today’s episode, Barbara and Bob bite back against spammers by sharing their experience and expertise about how it’s done.  For example, while some ads are for legitimate products, others aren’t and are intended to deceive consumers. What’s more is that both types of ads – legitimate and fake – feature Dr. Oz’s, Barbara Corcoran’s and other well-known peoples’ image without their permission.

Tune in today, Tuesday, February 28th to watch Bob, Barbara and Dr. Oz discuss this growing issue. Bob will also share his expertise about how fake news and ad fraud is being used in the performance marketing space by unscrupulous affiliates and what companies can do to prevent this deceitful practice.

The new company connects lifecycle retailers with high-quality content and influencer partners on a performance basis

After completing a four-month, invitation-only beta testing of its technology, BrandCycle Inc. is pleased to announce that it is now accepting bloggers and influencers in at least one of the following verticals — mom and family, baby and kids, style and beauty, health and wellness, wedding or eco-friendly — to join its growing community of publishers.

BrandCycle is free for content publishers to join. BrandCycle connects lifecycle retailers with content and influencer partners on a performance basis. Leveraging its proprietary technology, BrandCycle is able facilitate this connection and deliver content and campaigns to publishers in a more streamlined, user-friendly way, normalizing the user experience across many different networks and platforms.

Publishers can apply to become a member of BrandCycle by completing this online form.

“If you’re a niche publisher, connecting with retailers’ affiliate programs has become significantly more complicated and time-consuming over the last few years. Publishers have to join a myriad of affiliate networks and direct affiliate programs, apply to individual retailer programs and then navigate many different offers and interfaces. BrandCycle consolidates this process into a single application, login, feature set, reporting and payouts for the top affiliate programs in the industry.”

BrandCycle works through multiple affiliate networks, including ShareASale, Commission Junction, Impact Radius, Rakuten LinkShare and Pepperjam with additional integrations underway. Publishers can access and promote more than 250 of the top retail brands.

Initial feedback from beta testers for the platform has been overwhelmingly positive. “Based on my experiences in the beta, I feel that BrandCycle allows you to give your readers added value in your posts, because you have a lot more flexibility about which brands you promote and when. You have a whole array of retailers to pick from using just one easy dashboard — so you can really tailor which brand(s) you feature on each post, depending on the content of that post,” wrote Vera Chellgren in her review of BrandCycle for Purely Space. “Your readers benefit by getting content that is truly tailored to their needs — not just the brands you happened to be approved for on a traditional affiliate network.”

BrandCycle exclusively represents publishers, developing new opportunities and advocating on publishers’ behalf. “Up to this point, publisher development in the affiliate marketing environment has been driven by retailers. BrandCycle is stepping in to fill a huge void for independent representation for these publishers in the performance marketing/affiliate space,” said Hittman.

In this capacity, BrandCycle also connects with hand-selected, high-value retailers and secure curated deals and exclusive content for large-scale and non-traditional publishers. AARP recently chose BrandCycle as its publisher management firm to develop and curate affiliate discounts and deals exclusively for AARP members through its Member Advantages website, AARPAdvantages.com.

For retailers, BrandCycle provides consolidated and immediate access to hundreds of high quality publishers. “We recruit, vet and manage long-tail publishers, freeing up your internal bandwidth and resources to work with larger partners,” said Erin Gagnon, key account manager for BrandCycle. “We also work with retailers to create custom offers, evergreen content and strategic campaigns for our publisher base to promote, which drive both retailers’ sales and brand awareness.”

According to Forrester, affiliate marketing spending will exceed $4 billion this year for the first time, and the sector’s growth rate outpaces display advertising and all other digital marketing channels. “In conversations with retailers, we’ve found that they are looking to increase their spending within performance channels as concerns about display and pay-per-click fraud is on the rise,” said Hittman.

Publishers interested in joining BrandCycle can submit an application at Brandcycle.com/Become-A-Publisher. Retailers interested in partnering with BrandCycle can submit an online form at Brandcycle.com/Become-A-Brand-Partner.
